Hotel Transylvannia

At the drive in... or 'drive thru' as Danny calls it (although here the most common drive through here is the liquor land drive through... which I guess is one step behind the drive through brothels in Berlin! )

HMAS Parramatta

Danny's idea of fun on the hottest day we have yet had here is to trundle off to the navy open day and look at friggates and guns and helicopters. This is the HMS Parramatta and it is pretty massive and pretty fast and pretty fantastic...

This ship took 3 days to get from Australia to the Gulf after Sept 11 and carries 5 million litres of diesl

first day at school

Walking to school on our first day, past our neighbours giant wild nastertiums!
The kids first swim... few waves and freezing water at Henley beach... but is a looong, fine, sandy beach that stretches as far as the eye can see in both directions.

... and it has a special crop of seaweed that you can throw at your sibling!

Clam fritters and a fort

Found a R30 for 3kg jar of clams at the Rite Price grocery store and mixed them with my R55 bag of ordinary flour and hey presto... Daniel did not like the fritters that came out... luckily Issy does and she starts school tomorrow, so gues what she is getting in her lunchbox!?

When in doubt, build a fort... stay there all day, eat and sleep there

Isabella's business card

We have a problem solver in our midst! Isabella dons my old glasses and hands out forms and business cards once she has consulted with her patients about their problems and collected the 'appropriate' tip!
